About Us

We're the Alatalo Family. Some people have wondered who we are and what made us open Babies Bottoms And More. So here is a little bit about our family and our family store.

Although the entire family helps support the store, primarily you will see a mother-daughter team, Karen & Diana, helping you find products that work. Karen is the mother of 4 (all of whom were cloth diapered back when pins & flat diapers were the only ones available to most) and the grandmother of 2 beautiful babies. I'm Diana, her only daughter. I graduated nursing school in 1996 in Massachusetts, where I practiced until relocating to Texas in 2002. In addition to caring for families as a nurse, I also taught childbirth education and worked as a doula (professional labor support person).

After searching for cloth diapers in stores (without success), we started looking online and discovered a whole new world. But online shopping is frustrating if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. So when we discovered that no one had a store in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we decided to help families find what they needed and allow them the touch & try before they buy. We know all of our products work (we don't discriminate against a product just because it didn't fit one baby or didn't work for one family). And we realize that every baby is different. We try not to "push" any particular product and we'll be honest about what you "need", "would be really nice to have", and "nice, but can easily live without".

So if you want more than just, "I like these, they worked for me," then shop with us. We give both hands-on experience and professional, medical knowledge in each encounter.
