Made of Bamboo, Cotton and real Silk

ScratchMeNot Tinies are made for babies that scratch or rub themselves consistently due to skin irritation. It may be surprising to know that no matter how often or how low a babies nails are clipped, they can still scratch themselves painfully well. From eczema to chronic scratching, your baby\’s skin has a chance to heal without the interference of little fingers scratching and damaging their skin. It can also be used alongside any necessary medications or creams.

1. Who can use ScratchMeNots? Any infant or toddler who scratches themselves because of Eczema, Psoraisis, Chicken Pox, or whatever else it is that may be irritating their skin. It is also for children who habitually scratch or rub themselves with their hands. They are even for babies who scratch themselves randomly during the night.

Have you ever been frustrated when mittens rub off or when your little one pulls them off? It’s unfortunate to know that no matter how often or how low their fingernails are clipped, babies can still scratch themselves painfully well. By wearing a ScratchMeNot (SMN), your child’s skin is protected. It gives their skin a chance to heal without little fingers scratching and damaging the skin further. Any necessary creams and /or medicated ointments you may be using, will also have a better chance to begin healing the skin.

SMN’s lightweight Bamboo/Cotton blend material helps keeps your child cool in warm weather, and warm in cool weather.

2. Can a ScratchMeNot really help my little one? ScratchMeNots are made to relieve scratching! If your little one is constantly scratching, or if the scratching is damaging their skin. A ScratchMeNot can help reduce the damage greatly and give their skin an opportunity to heal. Sometimes children rub their itchy faces and heads. The silk outer layer of the mitten provides less friction against the skin. As they rub their heads, the silk will reduce the amount of hair being rubbed out by their hands.

To benefit the most from using ScratchMeNots, it’s important to keep their fingernails short. Long fingernails will lessen the positive results.

3. How and when can a ScratchMeNot be worn? ScratchMeNots are designed to be worn as a cardigan over clothing, or as long sleeves under clothing if desired. Although, SMNs are made of materials that breathe well, and are lightweight, they should still be viewed as an added layer of clothing. With this in mind, please be sure not to overheat your little one with too many layers of clothing.

How often your little one wears a SMN, depends on how frequently they tend to scratch themselves. It can be worn solely for nighttime sleeping or all day long. We designed SMNs to be flexible for your child’s needs, by allowing the mittens to be closed or cuffed open! Best of all, SMN’s can be worn all year round.

4. Are there any tips to remove or put on a ScratchMeNot? While our SMNs are fairly easy to put on and take off by adults, we do have a couple of tips:

To take off: Raise a hand and slide one elbow out of the SMN and gently pull SMN off the same arm and then the other! To close or open mitten: If you decide to open or close the mitten after the SMN has been put on, gently pull the bamboo/cotton arm portion towards you. After doing this, our stretchy section gives you more room to flip the mitten open or closed!

5. How many ScratchMeNots should I purchase? From our experience, we recommend 2 or more SMNs for your little one’s wardrobe. One dedicated to nighttime and the others for daytime use. An extra comes in handy, for example, when one might get messy during meals. Having two or more SMNs helps for laundry purposes as well. One SMN may be in the wash, the other(s) are available for use.

ScratchMeNots are made for those who crawl, walk, play, eat and sleep! They are bound to get dirty. Having another waiting in rotation gives parents one less thing to worry about.
