Product Description

Premium Unbleached Prefolds 6-pack
100% cotton unbleached prefolds are one of the most economical and easy-care cloth diapers. Our baby size prefolds come in a 6-pack and fit babies approximately 14-35 lbs.

Made of unbleached cotton, they will arrive flat but after you wash them several times they will become very absorbent and quilt up beautifully. Do not confuse these diapers with the "burp cloths" sold as diapers in other baby stores! These are real diaper quality prefolds, with 4x8x4 layering. This means the diaper has 4 layers of absorbency on either side and 8 layers of absorbency down the middle.

Many parents like to use a Snappi fastener to put prefolds on baby. You will also need a waterproof cover with these diapers.

If you plan to use prefolds and covers exclusively, the recommended quantity is 2-3 dozen prefolds (4-6 six-packs), 6-10 covers, and at least two Snappis or sets of pins.

Prefolds are unbleached cotton and must be washed 3-4 times or boiled for 15 minutes to remove the natural cotton oils and increase absorbency before first use. After that, just wash and dry normally.

Infant and Baby size are 4x8x4 prefolds, meaning they have an extra two layers of absorbency in the middle for a total of 8 layers down the middle. When trifolded, this means a total of 16 layers of absorbency!

Why unbleached? We carry unbleached prefolds, which are a natural off-white color, for several reasons. Bleach can break down fibers, so unbleached prefolds will be stronger and last longer. Skipping the bleaching process is better for the environment. Plus, stains don't show up as much on unbleached prefolds.

What We Think: Prefolds are awesome - they're versatile and practically indestructible! We like putting them on baby with a Snappi fastener. You can also just fold them in thirds and lay them inside a cover before putting it on the baby.
